Heart-Wall® Release

What if something is standing between you and how you really want to feel?

Sometimes we can feel emotionally guarded, disconnected, or unable to fully let people or experiences in.

You may know that you want to move forward, but something seems to keep you from feeling as open, connected, or at ease as you'd like.

One possibility is what is known as a Heart-Wall®.

What is a Heart-Wall®?

According to the Emotion Code approach, the body can create an energetic barrier around the heart in response to emotional experiences. This protective layer can develop when the body is trying to protect us from emotional pain.

It may have served a purpose at the time.

But what once felt protective may eventually contribute to feeling emotionally closed off, disconnected, or guarded.

The heart and brain are in constant communication through the nervous system, shaping how you process emotions, make decisions, and experience connection. When that communication feels aligned, there's often a sense of clarity, and a closer connection between what you think, feel, and intuitively know.

Heart-Wall work offers a way to explore whether this protective layer is still present and what your body may be ready to release.

The Heart-Wall Explained

The Heart-Wall Explained

In this video, Dr. Bradley Nelson shares a clear and easy to understand explanation of the Heart-Wall.

He explores what a Heart-Wall is, how it can form over time, and what it consists of, helping you better understand its role in emotional and energetic well-being.

Woman in a field

You might feel:

  • Emotionally guarded, even when you want to open up

  • Disconnected from yourself or others

  • Like it is difficult to fully let someone in

  • Stuck in emotional patterns from past experiences

  • Numb or detached from your feelings

  • Like you have a hard time receiving love or connection

  • Ready to move forward, but something still feels unresolved

You don't need to identify a particular experience or emotion that caused it.

We allow your body to guide the process.

You may recognize yourself in this

How Heart-Wall® Release works

Heart-Wall work is offered as part of an Inner Alignment Session rather than as a completely separate process.

During your session, your body may indicate that exploring the Heart-Wall is appropriate. Using muscle testing and subconscious responses, we can explore what your body is ready to address. This may involve releasing one or more trapped emotions associated with the Heart-Wall.

There is no set number of emotions that need to be released. Your body determines what is relevant in that moment.

As with every Inner Alignment Session, we close with Reiki, supporting your system in settling and integrating.

It doesn't have to be
a long process

For some people, the body may indicate that one or two emotions are ready to be addressed, and the process may unfold within a single session.

For others, the Heart-Wall may be more layered and the process may unfold over multiple sessions.

There is no need to force the process or work through everything at once.

We follow what your body is ready for.

What might change?

Everyone responds differently, but you may notice a greater sense of:

Emotional openness - Feeling more able to connect with yourself and others.

Lightness - A sense of releasing something you may have been carrying.

Connection - Feeling more present with yourself and your emotions.

Ease - Less of the internal resistance that may have been keeping you guarded.

Sometimes the shift is subtle. Sometimes you notice it right away. And sometimes you simply begin to respond to life differently without immediately knowing why.

“The Heart‑Wall … limits our ability to love, connect, and experience joy.”

Feeling good

You don't need to force yourself to open up. You don't need to relive painful experiences. And you don't need to know exactly what your body is holding.

The purpose isn't to push past your boundaries. It's to create space for your body to release what it is ready to release, at its own pace.

Your body knows where to begin.

A gentle approach to letting go

Heart-Wall® Release within Inner Alignment

Heart-Wall work is one of the focused approaches that may naturally arise during an Inner Alignment Session.

Your session doesn't have to begin with the Heart-Wall. It may be exactly what your body is ready to explore, or something else may come forward first. The session follows you, rather than a predetermined process.
